Filipinos starts thinking about Christmas as early as 'ber' months( months ending in 'ber') arrives. The Catholic Church prepares for the event starting at December 16 where Misa de Gallo (midnight mass) where held up to Christmas Eve to honor the birth of Jesus Christ.
Some people are using firecrackers in Christmas celebration maybe because it's just a few day from New Year celebration and the Chinese influence that using firecrackers will avoid evil spirits and bad luck.
