Christmas is pretty much celebrated the world over. How it is celebrated varies from country to country. In Bolivia, it is a celebration with much Roman Catholic influence. They display a manger with baby Jesus or Qusqueño Baby. They go to midnight mass and eat Christmas Eve dinner called Picana. Most serve roasted pig just like the roasted Turkey during Thanksgiving in America. They also serve salads, soups with chicken, beef and corn and wine. Children also enjoy receiving gifts from Jesus whom they write letter to instead of Santa Claus. Find more information and links about Christmas Traditions in Bolivia in this forum.
