Christmas Drunk Driving Campaign Tolls More Than 9,000

A average of 300 drunk drivers a day were caught during the month long Christmas drunk drive campaign during the holidays (Dec. 1 - Jan. 1). Police cracked 9,148 people across England and Wales under the influence of alcohol or drugs. All of the arrested fellows was treated like a any other law offender, requiring them to give DNA and blood sample, driving ban for a year, fine and criminal records for drunk driving can bring harm to themselves and to others.
